Hello Doctor, I Have Spaces In My Front Tooth Due

Question: Hello Doctor,

I have spaces in my front tooth due to lack of 2 lateral tooth(which are not there from childhood)

I visited to doctor in XXXXXXX one year back and had braces to move my canine tooth to lateral position since i need original tooth to front profile. Doctor suggested me to wait to create a proper space , then can decide to go for implant or any other solution.

I don't have followup from almost 8 months due to covid and i'm staying in hometown now.

I met couple of doctors in hometown but suggesting for bridge treatment(which i'm not ok to spoil original tooth) nor starting brace treatment again.

Questions : I'm attaching my OPG and Current dental position pictures. Please suggest me
1. Can i go for implant of 2 tooth with existing created space ?
2. Or incase if only option of bridge , How safe it is to have cantilever bridge ?
and In cantilever bridge, Is it possible to have other side wing(like maryland bridge) for support ? (since i don't want to spoil more natural tooth with standard bridge)
3. May i know which crown material is best for look and longevity ? It will be helpful of mentioning cost range with respect to material pros and cons.
4. Or Any other option is preferred?

Gone through your xrays. Detailed below

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for consulting Ask a doctor service
This is Dr. Priyanka tiwari answering your query.

I have read your query and gone through the opg xray and pictures you have attached. Answers for your questions are detailed below:

1) No implant treatment is not advised for less existing space.

2) You can go for cantilever bridge on right side but for left side space is not proper for cantilever bridge and for maryland bridge. But cantilever and maryland bridges are less retentive then fixed bridge treatment.

3) crown material best for look and longevity can be All ceramic crown . All ceramic crowns provide the best and most natural look. The best option for front teeth.

Ceramic fused-to-metal crowns are another widely used type of dental crowns. They provide both strength (due to their metal structure) and aesthetics (due to the ceramic coat that covers the cap).
The metal in these crowns may cause a grey line at the gumline. This may not give the 100% aesthetic look that all porcelain crowns provide.
Cost of all ceramic infused crown will be appoximate rupee 4500 . Cost of ceramic infused crown will be appoximate rupee 2500 to 4000.

4) other options can be veneers and fixed 3 unit bridge but in both option there is reduction of natural tooth.

Thanks
Hope this will help you.
If you have further query i will be happy to help.

Hello XXXXXXX
Thank you for your response.

Few more questions lastly :)
1. How about zirconia layered crowns life span and cost ? (I feel it gives natural look)
2. Also i'm preferring hybrid model which will have wing one side and other side crown(attaching picture). How it suits my condition ?

Brief Answer:
Zirconia crowns are costly.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Welcome

Read your query and gone through the pictures you have attached . Answers for your questions

1) Zirconia crowns are made from zirconium dioxide, crowns are very durable type and its costly than all ceramic crown. One crown cost approximately 10,000 to 18,000 . The disadvantages of zirconia crowns are minimal. The toughness of the material has raised some concerns about friction against the tooth root and wearing down opposing teeth. Although zirconia crowns are best in aesthetics but costly. If your budget allows you can go for zirconia crown.

2) As you are asking for hybrid crowns, yes you can go for it but one disadvantage of these crowns are they are less retentive.

Hope this will help you.
If you have further query i will be happy to help.
