Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Cough itself is not an contraindication for endoscopy, however if it causes difficulty in breathing, than endoscopy should not be performed. So if your cough is really bad, it would be reasonable to reschedule your endoscopy and wait for your cough to subside.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

I have had a chronic cough with phlegm for over a year now. I barely get any sleep, and I sometimes cough so hard I throw up. I have been on nasonex now for 6 weeks and my cough has actually gotten worse. I have been tested for allergies and have none. My doctor says it's post nasal drip. How else can it be treated?
