Brief Answer:
Need few more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service for your query,
Have seen your details,
UC and Crohn's are both inflammatory conditions and inflammation any where in body would lead to increase in levels of C reactive proteins.
Your CRP is raised due to inflammatory bowel disease.
As far as Triglycerides are concerned different labs uses different machines so please mention the normal levels of both gastrin and T.G of your lab.
Because concerned as 1000 mg/dl level of Triglycerides they are very high but you have written mildly elevated. So please mention the normal range in follow up.
Waiting,
Thanks!

In the past about 5yrs ago my triglycerides were around in 500s and recently my labs showed 1224mg and they will be doing more test on me.
Are my CRP level high to where I should be concern or should I not stress about it. My Gastrin Serum test in the past have came back a bit high they were in 192 pg/mL. Last week my results on Gastrin Serum came back 556 high pg/mL and on the reports is says: Siemens IMMULITE 2000 Immunochemiluminometric assay (ICMA) Values obtained with different assay methods or kits cannot be used interchangeably. Results cannot be interpreted as absolute evidence of the presence or absence of malignant disease.
can you please explain this to me.

Brief Answer:
Follow up.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
High gastrin levels could be due to Zollinger Ellison syndrome.
Imaging techniques such as a nuclear scan called somatostatin receptor scintigraphy would be done along with Endoscopic ultrasound to diagnose it.

You triglyceride are too high and you are at risk of getting coronary artery disease. Should get tests like Treadmill test and 2d echo done as soon as possible.Fenobirinate with statins should be started along with coenzyme Q10 and Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.
CRP is elevated as a result of free radicals injury caused by triglycerides in blood vessels.
Thanks!
