Question: Good morning Doctor. My name is Kameswara XXXXXXX I am a Central Govt employee (sedentary life style). Presently I am living in XXXXXXX
My problem is since 2013 I have ulcers formed on my leg (attaching photographs). When I went to the Doctor just last month to the Vascular surgeon he told me that it is stasis eczema it is because of varicose veins in both legs thats why blood is oozing out and forming like ulcers. Till date I have not used any medicine and ointment Doctor. It is looking ugly. Doctor kindly rectify the problem please. One thing is quite clear that there is not much of bunch of veins are there. Incidentally I developed osteoarthritis developed in both knees at the same time it happened. Kindly give proper treatment.

Brief Answer:
A venous Doppler is required to make a diagnosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
You have attached the MRI report and the picture of the ulcer is missing!!
For a varicose ulcer, dilated veins is not a must. Stasis or varicose ulcer can develop even without visible veins.
You have to get a venous Doppler to confirm the diagnosis.
Please attach the picture of the ulcer so that we can discuss the treatment options.
Arthritis is not related to ulcer and is due to age related wear and tear.
Thanks

Dear Doctor, as instructed by you, I have uploaded photographs of both legs. Both are creating itching. In fact, Doctor told me that unless you will get it treated ulcers formed in this. It happened Doctor.

Doctor kindly suggest overall treatment for this. What medicines/Ointment I have to take, whether I shall wear compressed stock etc.

Waiting for your reply, please.
