Brief Answer:
Kindly get Serum Bilirubin levels checked

Detailed Answer:
Hello madam,

Thanks for writing in to us at hcm.
This is Dr.Riyanka and I am glad to be helping you with your query.

Firstly it is important not to get confused about the symptoms of jaundice because:
Jaundice is a yellowish discolouration of the skin (Palms, Soles), sclera (White portion of the eye around the black eye round area) and mucous membranes due to high blood bilirubin levels.

Kindly visit a physician and get your Serum Bilirubin levels checked.

It would be helpful if you can send a photo of the eye for further diagnosis.

However, if there are yellow/cream small masses around the eyeball on the skin, then it is not jaundice. It is known as Xanthelasma (Small growths containing fat).

Hope this answers your query. Don't worry .
Do write back if you have any further doubts.

Brief Answer:
Donot worry , doesnt look like jaundice.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam,

Thank you for writing back to us.
I have gone through your history.

Kindly click the upload button to upload your present eye condition photos as it is not attached to the question Query ID 190159 .
However, I have gone through your previous eye photos in the history.

Please dont worry. They are minor irregularity of the sclera - scleral thinning .Please dont worry it is not harmful at all . there are usually layers below the sclera (white in colour) that is choroid (contains a blue pigment ), and below that is the retina.

Thinning of sclera can lead to an impression of non uniform white cream patches. It is seen in many people so kindly dont worry about it as it requires no treatment.

Since you only have fatty liver and no renal pathology, there is no need to worry at all.
I presume your lipid profile has been done and if they are more please consult your doctor for cholesterol lowering drugs along with life style modification like exercise and eating less oily foods.

Also if you are very anxious about jaundice then kindly get your Serum Bilirubin level checked . Normal is 0.1 to 1 milligram per deciliter (mg/dL). This will definitely clear your doubt of jaundice. It would be helpfu to note that on clinical examination, in jaundice you don't just see yellowish discolouration of the sclera but also on the skin of the palms and soles.

Hope this answers your query.
Take Care.
Regards
Dr.Riyanka

Brief Answer:
Please dont worry its not suggestive of jaundice

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam,
Thank you for writing back to us.

Please be assured you donot have jaundice.
However, kindly control your cholesterol and triglyceride levels to prevent any cardiovascular problems in the future.

Due to increased lipid levels in the blood, it can cause minor fatty deposits to accumalate on the sclera can make it appear slightly yellow.

This however decreases and goes away once the lipid levels are controlled.

So , please dont worry. Adopt a healthy lifestyle and everything will be fine.

Hope this answers your query.
Take Care.
Regards
Dr.Riyanka
