Does Atopic Hypersensitivity Worsen After Mite's Protein Exposure Or Bites?

Question: Hello,

I have had a good learning from all of doctor's advice here, each time I see my local doctors, I bring up doctors' advice from healthcare magic to them, it has been very halpful.

My doctors are treating me a lot better. I found a lot of my allergens to triger my hives. I had no Food or latex Allergy. I am Atopic and recently investigating insect bites or any protein from mites family could be giving me a storong reaction, because it looks like that would be the most of reasons of my hives. As I experienced recent mites related incident (could be a bites ( such as bed bugs, tree mites or other mites related family that bites human) but could be just exposure from ariborn allergen) I checked up online, I found "Insect bites Induced Hyper Sensitivity"

Do you think my Atopic Hypersensitivity could get worse after mites protein exposure or bites? I am asking you this because I have more of throat tighten feeling and short of breath often and recently prescribed Epi-pen. My both ear is foggy, my doctor told me last week. My Lymph nodes puffing up with extra lump after I get into dusty environment.

Otherwise, my doctor ruled out Thyroid, Menopusal hormone, and other malignancy, it looks normal. My doctor is now focusing on treating my Atopic Allergy.

I need a good insight from you to help our my local doctors as always.

Thank you,

XXXX

Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are due to atopy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX

You have mentioned that you have atopy. That is the reason you have allergy to many things. Mites are known allergens and cause symptoms as described by you in people who have atopy.

All your symptoms appear to be because of allergy and you must take treatment that controls the allergies.

You should try monteleukast-levocetrizen combination. If you have breathing problem, take inhalers like aerocort or seroflo. You should try and avoid allergens like dust, smoke, mites etc.

If the symptoms of allergy are very troublesome, you may try a course of zolair shots. For all these, you have to consult a local pulmonologist for proper guidance,

Thank you Dr. Dangwal,

I appreciate your answer. I forgot to mention one thing. My Local Allergist told me inhaled and my environmental allergen doesn't cause hives. Is that right? My Dermatologist and promary care doctor says, allergy skin reaction like mine is coming from whatver over loaded immuny system, like you said, environmental allergen causes my skin symptoms. My Allergist checked my lung and found normal, I do not have no runny nose or cough, but like you mentioned, I feel that I have irritation in my lung.

My Atopic allergy symotoms suddenly started in December and my serious problem is skin hives, it gets really big, fatigue is extreme a coupld of days in a week when have fatigue, my short of breath starts and my chest hurts. Is it still a lung condition?

Brief Answer:
Shortness of breath points towards lung condition.

Detailed Answer:
You have mentioned that you have atopy. This is responsible for allergy. Allergy can manifest in various forms. It may be in the form of breathing difficulty, or irritation in the nose, throat and eyes or it may in the skin like hives.

An atopic indl may have one or more symptoms.

Hives are generally because of food allergy, insect bites, certain drugs, sun exposure or physical pressure.

You mentioned about throat tightening and shortness of breath which is also because of allergy and may point towards asthma for which you may need antihistaminics, inhalers or even a course of oral steroids if symptoms are severe.
