Does Proactive Help In Treating Acne?

Question: My sons doctor gave him some medication for this and it seems to being worse, is this a condition that maybe proactive can help him with?

Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr. Kakkar(dermatologist). I have read your question and i have also reviewed the images.
He has acne with dark spots due to postinflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Yes certainly he may use proactiv products. proactiv ingredients like benzoyl peroxide would take cate of active acne while glycoloc acid and salicylic acid would exfoliate dead cells and therefore improve both acne and dark spots.
