Question: Dear Doctor,

My wife got a medical checkup done. I am sharing the reports of the same with you.

Following are my queries:
1. Vitamin D is very low, what should be done? Any medications required or not?
2. Cholesterol levels are low, is it OK ? Or is there anything that needs to be done?
3. Any abnormalities you see in the reports that may need medical attention?

Thanks
doctor

Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor'.

I have gone through the reports attached. All values are normal except Vitamin D.

I would suggest you take vitamin D supplements such as Cap. Dvion 60,000 IU once weekly after dinner for 12 weeks.

You need not worry about low cholesterol values. Maybe you can eat a handful of nuts and dates which will increase the HDL cholesterol.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to discuss further.

Regards,
