Question:
Dear Doctor,

I had sex with a lady from Russia, and this was in October 21,2018. We had oral sex and sex with condoms .( she had 2 times hiv test after our sex and both hiv blood results were negative).

In November 22,2018 I have undergone full checkup including HIV blood test, it was 4th generation test, the result was negative. After that I felt many symptoms such as throat pain, rushes in my chest, vomiting feelings, muscles pain in my legs. In April 15,2019. I made another hiv test and it was also 4th generation test too and the result was negative. I also done all know SDT and all results was negative. I still have pain sometimes in the back muscle of my left side leg. For your kind information I didn%E2%80%99t have any sex from October 22,2018 till April 15,2019.
I only had sex in end of April 2019 with my wife, and now she is complaining that her monthly period didn%E2%80%99t show up. We are sure she is not pregnant.

Do I have to do any other hiv test ?
Do my wife have to do hiv test?

Look forward to your feedback.
Regards,
doctor

Brief Answer:
Both are free from HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome to Ask a Specialist Service.

You had protected sex with an unknown partner so the chances of getting the infection are already nil and 4th generation HIV test result after 6 months is also negative then you are absolutely safe and risk from HIV because the test result after 6 months of exposure is 100% reliable and conclusive. Your wife is also not at risk of getting the infection and no further testing is required for both of you.

Pain in calf muscles can be due to exertion or some other reason but not specific for HIV so don't get worried or tensed. For your wife I will advice to consult Gynecologist to isolate the cause and follow the instructions accordingly. Be relaxed, forget the episode and live your life normally. For any further query feel free to ask me again any time.

Thank You

Brief Answer:
Consult any physician to isolate the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome back and thanks for follow-up.

For the symptoms of chest and throat pain with rashes and vomiting you have to consult the physician, get done some blood tests or other investigations to isolate the cause and then follow the treatment regime as per advice. Don't feel nervous because these symptoms are not connected with HIV in any way. Calm down, avoid too much of stress and get back to me for any further help.

Thank You

Many thanks for your time in answering my inquiry, but how about the other symptoms I had such as rashes in my chest and the throat pain which did not responded to the medication, and the vomiting feeling?.

May I have your opinion about it please.

Look forward to your feedback.

Your swift feedback is very much appreciated and well noted.

I had h pylori for something like 4 months during those symptoms, and I was taking antibiotics and it and after complaining the second antibiotic I have done the test and it was negative. Is those symptoms are something related to H pylori ??

Answered by Dr. Sunil Jangid (9 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Vomiting and Bloating can be due to H Pylori infection.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome to HCM once again.

Chest pain like feeling due to bloating and nausea can be due to H Pylori infection but rashes are unusual. I suggest again to consult physician to isolate the cause and follow the treatment regime as per advice. As far as HIV infection is concerned, you are absolutely safe and risk free.

Thank You
