Brief Answer:
should resolve now within short time span of 1-2 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.

* As per my surgical experience, the epididymitis resolution time period
varies according to the extent of internal tissue inflammation and
secondary changes.
While low grade infection conditions do resolve within a span of 1-2
weeks, many times moderate to severe issues of epididymitis takes even
4-6 weeks for complete resolution.

* As the soreness is not as extreme as before means that the condition is on
improvement scale and antibiotics have responded pretty well.

Following are certain guidelines for faster recovery

- Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids and prevent secondary bacterial
infection.
- Avoid tight undergarments.
- Keep blood sugar under control.
- Avoid strenuous physical work or exercises ( particularly cycling ) if
involved.
- Discuss need of second course of antibiotic with your doc after physical
examination by him or her.

Wish you great recovery.
Thank you.
Regards.
