Question: Could someone decipher this Xray Knee 3 vw-LT report and tell us in layman's language what it says? arthroplasty, osseous lucency, increased periosteal new bone formation in the distal femoral shaft. superimposed old post traumatic contour irregularity of the lateral aspect of the femoral shaft, knee diffusion, moderate vascular calcification.

The report of the X-ray that you have mentioned is suggestive of healing of an old fracture of the thigh bone. The findings like contour irregularity, osseous lucency, knee diffusion- mild fluid collection- all these are suggestive of age related degenerative changes in the knee joint.
These also suggest decreased bone formation, low calcium levels, etc. These can be painful changes and can be controlled with mild pain killers and regular physiotherapy.
