Can Post Covid Cause Heart Attack?
Question: I was patient of Covid-19 during second wave. I have recently done the blood test, as sometime I feel pain in left side of chest, and following are the parameters which are not in range as per test reports. (I do cycling every day 4-5 km; Age 36 years, Not taking any medicine on a continuous basis)
1. My triglycerides level is 264 against a maximum limit of 150. (Serum Cholestrol is 196 mg/dl against 200)
2. SGPT level is 126 Units per litre. (Serum)
3. ECG diagnosis: Sinus bradycardia

I will give thoughts about every test separately and then if you think of other symptoms, or provide more information that may be relevant, I will be happy to advice further.
- Triglycerides usually are very closely related with a diet of high in fat. So in the same way if can be treated by stabilizing your diet with a diet low in fats. I don't know if you are overweight, but if that is the case can help losing some. The fact that the cholesterol is within normal range tells more about the low risk to the heart.
- High SGPT can be also an indication of fatty liver or an overworking liver due to diet rich in foods that get processed by the liver. An abdominal ultrasound can confirm if that is the case. If you want to go deeper finding the cause of the high SGPT, you can also do more tests that increase it like investigation for Hep B or C (viruses that affect the liver function)
- Sinus bradycardia it is quite common and normal in young adult males who exercise a lot or have exercised before.
