Can Herpes Be Contracted Through Contact Of A Cut Wound On A Cold Sore?

Question: I have a question about Herpes . If someone with a cold sore touches the sore, then touches a surface, and I cut my hand on the sharp surface, is there a likely chance of getting herpetic whitlow?

2 hours at least. After I cut it, I put alcohol hand gel on the cut, cleaned it with a cleaning wipe, and washed it with soap and water.

So an office environment, i.e. touching doors, computes, bathrooms, etc is not a serious risk environment for the transmission of HSV1 or HSV2?

Is HSV1 and HSV 2 normally transmitted through direct skin to skin contact?

I do not share drinks with anyone.

On a daily basis touching doors, computers and bathrooms doesn't increase the risk of hsv1 and hsv2.
HSV 1 and 2 is usually transmitted through contact with the blister fluid.
