Brief Answer: Hi Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for posting your query on XXXXXXX Yes cerelac can be given to a 6 year old. Mother of the baby is the best person to figure out whether the baby is ready to start of solid food or not. Mostly if the baby is able to hold her neck upright, she can be started on solid food. Among cerelac, she will first need to be started on rice cereal. Later other grains can be given. Cereals with fruits should be tried in the end. Give at least 2 weeks interval before starting new type of food. The cereal should be thin. Initially she will take just one or two spoons. Breast milk can follow the solid food in a meal. Do not be discouraged if she rejects a type of food. You may re-try it in 2 - 3 days. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards Dr Vaishalee

38 y.o 5 9 , Female, 140 lbs. Heavy brick stomach. On top of that feel constant fatigue, zombie head, very poor concentration, and heavy-heavy breathing, like I am 75 y.o Currently on a baby food, as no matter what I eat, I feel like I ate a whole buffet, so I buy a case of a baby food and eat 6-7 of them a day (6 oz each). Normally I eat very little around 6-6:30 p.m. and go to bed around 11 p.m. In the morning, still feel full like I just ate. No matter what I eat and how much, even after baby food, my stomach looks like I am 2-3 months pregnant, while I always had a flat stomach my whole life...and my legs, arms, neck, everything looks the same, just stomach looks funky. Had several tests done last November: endoscopy, blood tets, you name it - all came back normal of course, yet the misery is still here. Man, I never knew it would be so hard to find a good gastroenterologist! Schedule appt to see a new doctor in September (yep, she is that booked) and hope she will give me more detailed tests, but for now I have no idea what to do. Was told that Domperidone might help, so my friends in Europe sent me Motilium. Have been taking it for few weeks, started having HORRIBLE headaches, while my stomach felt the same, so I stopped. I know something is in there, I dont believe that I feel this for no reason...I have a feeling that this fatigue and heavy breathing connected to my stomach, but how? And what other tests besides colonoscopy and endoscopy should I ask my new doctor for when I see her in September? I want to be prepared. Thank you

Hi, I have a 9month old who is only in the 5% for weight at 15lbs. She is always constipated and sleeps 13hours at night and 4 hours during the day. I have her eating mainly fruit baby food and breast fed. She has only been interested in drinking about 12-18oz approx of breast milk a day. Should I be waking her up at night and breastfeeding her? How can I help her gain weight and not be constipated all the time ?

My 12-month old just had a light color bowel movement and only drank half of his bottle of whole milk and ate half of his big jar of baby food. He's been constipated (bowel movements were tight little balls) but he hasn't complained of tummy pain. This is his first pale yellow poop. He was tired yesterday evening and didn't eat dinner.

Hi, my 19 month old son has been constipated for several weeks. He has daily bowel movements but they are small hard balls. I tried prune juice and dried prunes but he doesn't like it. So I give him oatmeal in the morning, vegetables (broccoli, peas, cauliflower, carrots) during the day, yogurt, chicken noodle soup, Gerber cheetos and cereal bars. Sometimes he will eat blackberries, watermelon and grapes but not often. He no longer likes the fruits in baby food. None of this has worked. Any advice?
