Brief Answer:
Detailed answer below.

Detailed Answer:
HI Olivesey,
Periareolar incision would have comparatively lighter area than surrounding breast skin to start with. But over the time it would match with the skin color provided there is no secondary infection or the scar has not been itched in such cases the scar would become either broad&lighter for ever or scar can get thickened to turn black in color respectively.
So make it a point to follow doctors instructions strictly &avoid itching of scar after healing.
I hope that helps.Any follow up query is welcome
Thanks.

Thank you. If the scar overlaps between the breast skin and the areola, could the scar be both comparatively lighter than the breast skin outside the border of the areola and comparatively darker than the areola skin inside the border?

Brief Answer:
Scar color would be as the incisional tissue was.

Detailed Answer:
HI Olivesey,
Periareolar incisional scar ,without any complication, is usually very thin & &linear...so it can be either skin or areolar colour...but even if it overlaps the border...the healing regenerated epithelium would be as the incisional tissue is.
Please don't worry, healing scar won't be obvious..it would be just a thin line.&won't be cosmetically hazardous.
I hope that helps.
Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks
