Can Lactogen And Nan Pro Be Given Alternatively?

Question: Hi, My daughter is top feed baby, She is having Lactogen from last 5 months, can we switch to Nan Pro-2 from next month or can Lactogen and Nan Pro be given together, how about Enfamil as it contains DHA and does Lactogen contains DHA. Which is the best, please let me know

Thanks for asking on healthcaremagic. Let me first mention that breast milk is the best food for a baby and there can be no alternative for the same. Most formula milks including the three mentioned, are cow milk based. Lactogen and NAN are manufactured by the same company and certain substances have been added and removed from lactogen in NAN to make it more like human breast milk. So NAN is more preferable. Enfamil is a slightly even better alternative containing DHA but is more costly as well. All the three mentioned formula including lactogen contain DHA and so you need not worry about it. These can be given interchangeably or even together and there is no problem with it.
