Did you mean Delsym DM?

If so, it is not advised to take dextromethorphan (which is the "DM" part) with an SSRI medication (which is what Lexapro is). The reason is because the two use the same enzyme for being broken down, and the presence of one of these medications can increase the effects of the other one.

That said, the dose of Lexapro is small, typically half of an adult dose. And many people do take dextromethorphan while being on an SSRI. It isn't an absolute contraindication, but combining these should be kept to a minimum.
