Can Citralka Help Cure UTI In An Infant?

Question: My daughter is 3,can I give a citralka for uti.and what dose.thanks

Welcome to the HCM

I understand your concerns but citralka is only for symptomatic relief of UTI. It is not the complete treatment for an episode of UTI.

If your child has a suspected UTI then immediately go for a routine and microscopic examination along with culture of early morning urine sample. This will help in definitive diagnosis of UTI. Thereafter a proper course of antibiotics accordingly to the sensitivity pattern will help in complete treatment of UTI. You may upload the reports for my reference.

For symptomatic relief from painful micturition, you may give 2.5 ml citralka thrice daily. Give acetaminophen for fever episodes if they occur.
