Brief Answer:
There is no cross reaction between these two infections!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these disturbing thoughts that you have about HIV and HepC. These two tests are independent and one cannot alter the outcome results of the other. Besides being viruses, the various techniques used in making the diagnosis are very different and do not produce cross reactions or false results.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
Hepatitis C would always be positive until treated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Any one with hepatitis C would test positive unless treated. If you think you were positive before for HepC, then I will suggest you get this test repeated. Also, are you HIV+?

I hope to hear from you.
