Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to a metabolic disorder ( anemia, thyroid gland dysfunction, etc.).

For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests:

- a resting ECG and cardiac ultrasound in order to examine your heart function and structure
- complete blood count for anemia
- thyroid hormone levels for thyroid gland dysfunction
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalances.

As your symptoms occur during physical exertion, I would recommend performing an exercise cardiac stress test or dobutamine stress echo , in order to examine your heart during exertion.

Low dose beta blocker can help reduce palpitations, but they also may reduce physical performance.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

You should discuss with your Doctor on the above tests.

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!
