Question: A few days ago I started getting irritation and pain in my left eye. I looked in the mirror and noticed redness and a raised yellowish mark. I have attached a picture taken yesterday.

What is going on with my eye?

Brief Answer:
That looks like a nodular episcleritis

Detailed Answer:
Hey thanks for the question.

There is a raised res area in the eyes which is most probably a nodule and it indicates the inflammation of episclera which is the outer covering of the white of the eye. It needs treatment with steroid eye drops instilled three times a day for two weeks . It can be recurrent and then you need to be investigated for inflammatory and autoimmune conditions as it may be associated with it . But first i would advise you to seek an ophthalmology consultation as a proper and thorough examination by a doctor is required and prescription of the medication is also required. Dont worry it can be cured with eye drops . Hope my answer helps you . If you have any follow up query please feel free to ask .
