59 Yr Old Female Underwent Parathyroidectomy In 2016 (histopath &
Question: 59 yr old female underwent parathyroidectomy in 2016 (histopath & discharge attached) and is a known hypertenisve,Hyperlipidemia since 25 yrs and with an BMI of 42.2.Histopatolgy report doesn't indicate propoerly the exact status regarding malignancy.Please suggest the prognosis of parathyroidectomy along with all the above mentioned co-morbidness.

Parathyroid Adenoma is a common entity and a common cause of hypercalcemia. It has been removed and the histopathology report does not show any signs of malignancy. Parathyroid malignancies are anyways very rare.
so nothing to be done now. keep monitoring calcium posphorus , vit D, annually.
Comorbidities existing are not related and need to be handled individually. she is obese, rule out diabetes and thyroid and manage weight.
