I appreciated Dr. Christensen's immediate reply. Although it turned out that my mother-in-law did not have gangrene, his reply alerted us and the care home staff that due to her heart issues (irregular heart beat which on occasion has resulted in her blood pressure becoming too low), gangrene may be a possible condition that we should be aware of. Thank you again, Dr. Christensen!
