It depends on:
- time of appearing
- what is causing it?
- what impact do they have on your health?
If it caused due to frequent bowel movements (acute viral/parasitic infection), then, it is not dangerous. When cholecyst is involved, then, should further evaluated.

Given you age, blood in stool warrants investigation. Have you been doing your screening colonoscopy? if not , please consider doing so now. Please, see your gastroenterologist
Also, a stool exam and a good rectal exam will help establish some other causes. Get consulted and let the cause be established.
