How To Treat Shingles?

Hi. I have a question concerning a condition I beginning to get frequently. I have had shingles and I called my doctor
to see if he could prescribe the same medicine to me the last time. He never returned my call. I had to go to a minute clinic and they treated me with medicine. But now the bumps are dark and it looks like a scab. I still have a little stinging but it is coming from the scab because it is like peeling. I have been placing calamine lotion on it. Is it something else I can get for it? Can I get the vaccination shot for shingles. Is there age for the vaccination?
