Dear Sana Shaik,
Welcome to HCM.
It is normal procedure to repair umbilical hernia with a mesh. The wound will heal in a week's time. If possible we should try to find the cause for that hernia to occur. Usually it is over weight with fatty abdomen, cough, constipation or difficulty in passing urine for a long duration. If one or more of these causes are there, they should be taken care of. More over avoid doing any heavy work, and restrict fat content in the diet.
