Red Bruise On The Foot, Pain
My daughter is in a cast and they changed it a week ago. When they changed it they found a pebble inside that was pressing into the side of her foot leaving a red bruise . She is now complaing that it hurts on the part of her foot where the pebble was was found. They never put anything on the bruise. Should I be concerned that it is getting worse?

Hi,
It is good to get her bruise cleaned with warm water and soap. Make sure it is cleaned well and nothing has left inside.
You can apply alcohol 70% and iodine 10% to disinfect.
As long as she would keep it clean and pain will be reduced, nothing to be worried about.
If she still feels pain or swelling, then, should see a physician immediately.
