Hi,
Thanks for the query.
If the pains are progressive and increasing in severity, there is possibility that you may have be getting true labor pains.
Once consult gynecologist and get examined.
By local examination, cervical changes can be accessed.
Progressive pains associated with cerival ripening and dilation indicates onset of labor.

If pains are not progressive and if there are no cervical changes, that could be false labor pains.
Rest, hydration etc can relieve the false labor pains.
Undergo ultrasound once to access the wellbeing of the baby, the gestational age, quantity of liquor etc.
Take care.

OBGYN Dr. Madhuri N Bagde's  Response
Hi and welcome,

If this is happening at 36 weeks it is a bit premature for labor but the history suggests labor.
Please go and check with your midwife if the cervix is opening up. It may be false labor pain if there is no opening of cervix, but the discharge suggests labor.
It is better if the baby delivers beyond 37 weeks. So bed rest may prevent it from progressing. However even if it delivers now, it must not be much of an issue as most babies are mature enough to survive outside by 34 weeks.

Wish you a safe delivery.
Hope this satisfies your query.
