Diagnosed Cardiomegaly, Pericardial Effusion, Hepato And Splenomegaly. Causes Of This ?

I was recently in the hospital for Edema in my feet, ankles and lower legs. The tests came back that I have Cardiomegaly, Pericardial Effusion, Hepatomegaly & Splenomegaly. The ER Doctor never addressed these. I discovered these in the discharge paperwork. I am very concerned and am seeing my Primary Doctor tomorrow. I guess my question is what is your opinion on what may be causing all of this and should I be concerned about Congestive Heart Failure?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Cardiomegaly means enlargement of heart size and pericardial effusion is the reason behind this .
Splenomegaly and hepatomegaly are two things ,but it depend upon the size of these two organs, so please mention the exact size of these two vital organs.
There are so many causes of pericarditis, as bacterial , tubercular, so without complete history it is very difficult to evaluate any diagnosis.
Echo and blood tests will find out the exact cause.
Good luck.
