Hello, I get severe pain during my first two days or sometimes 3 before my period comes. It is in my umbilical region. Is this common?

General & Family Physician
Severe pain while and after urination.
The most common cause is urinary tract infection. You will need to get your urine tested for routine and microscopic examination and also for culture and sensitivity. A course of antibiotics will be needed to control the infection. Till you see a doctor and get this done, drink lots of water. Use paracetamol if there is fever. Stones in the urinary tract can also cause pain during urination.
