My 1 year old son is having loose stools and occasional vomiting. The stool test revealed ++ pus cells and + rbc ph is alkaline is it normal???thanks
Hi, Welcome to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. Pus cells and bacteria can be there in both viral and bacterial enteritis. If it is more, it is likely bacterial and may need antibiotics. Other wise frequent feeding, ORS and Zinc may be enough. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
