Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I ve been prescribed 14 capsules of metronidazole to take BID for 7 days in conjunction with OD use of the flagystatin cream to deal with a mild case of vaginosis. I have a romantic weekend planned for this April 12/13/14th that includes dinners with wine. I have no pre-existing conditions that would put me at high risk of mixing the alcohol in small amounts but can t seem to find evidence to support that I can use alcohol moderately over the weekend without suffering serious adverse effects (i.e. vomiting, nausea, etc.). What is the frequency in which these symptoms are manifested? Am I safe to have a few glasses of wine over the weekend?
