Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
I suspect you are suffering from
Osteoarthritis.
It is a wear and tear of the joints and also degenerative disease.
As age increases, there is a degeneration of
cartilage ( thick tissue covering the end of bones in a joint) and other tissues around the joints. This results friction and inflammation of the joint tissues. This result in Pain and swelling of joints.
If you are
overweight or obese, because of mechanical stress on joints the symptoms will be more severe and the disease will be rapidly progressive.
Thus if you are obese or overweight, Please exercise regularly and plan to reduce your weight.
There is no specific diagnosis. X ray may show loss of cartilage and joint erosions.
My advice is to reduce weight, Diet control,
Physiotherapy are helpful.
Take some painkillers like Tylenol or Aspirin.
Recent studies shows food supplements
glucosamine and chondroitin can relieve symptoms of pain and stiffness for some people with osteoarthritis.
Hope this helps.
f you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Regards,
Dr.Manjeth.
