My period is 8 days late the hpt came back negative, should i resume taking my birth control pill or wait until my period comes.
You should not start your birth control pills until you get your periods.
Wait for few days more and get the pregnancy test repeated.
If still negative, consult your doctor for prescription of progesterone medications for induction of periods.
One you get our periods, then you can start your birth control pills.
