Given you age, blood in stool warrants investigation. Have you been doing your screening colonoscopy? if not , please consider doing so now. Please, see your gastroenterologist
Also, a stool exam and a good rectal exam will help establish some other causes. Get consulted and let the cause be established.

There are various causes of blood in stool. It may be due to hemorrhoids, anal fissure.
Other serious causes are colon polyps,diverticulosis,colitis,colon cancer(rare)etc.
