What Does It Mean To Frequent Heartburn And Indigestion With Swelling Of Ribs On Left Side?

I have recently noticed swelling on my left ribs that has not been there before. It doesn't cause me any pain at all apart from that it is tender when touched, maybe some discomfort when finding a position to sleep in.
I have no other symptoms of anything i can find, apart from more frequent heartburn and indegestion than usual.
Would like to know what may be causing this swelling? I do not play any sports/excersise

Usually this typy of swelling occurs due to rib fracture but as you are saying that you have not had any injury so most probably it is a soft tissue injury which you had during some routine work and you may not noticed it that time. Any way at present you can apply ice over it. Also diclofenec gel can help you. Pain killers only if pain increases. If swelling increase in size than get a chest x ray done.
