I hope you understood, take care and get well soon.
sour smell in nose. history of sinusinfection
Smelling in noise can be caused by atrophic rhinitis or because of sinusitis.
Treatment is by treating infarction in sinusitis and keeping the nose moist in atrophic rhinitis.
Do consult ENT doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Should my sinusinfection be treated with antibiotics?
Not all sinusinfections need to be treated with antibiotics.
Take steam inhalations 4-5 times a day. This will open up the sinuses and decrease the pain.
Take analgesics and antihistaminics.
If infection does not come down with all these and your symptoms are worsening, you can go for antibiotics.
