Hi doctor.i have severe abdominal pain in the epigastric region..i took a one tablet of ciplox TZ but the pain still persists.what should i do%3F Pls tell me%0A
Dear Anita, ciplox TZ is an antibiotic, it does not provide relief from pain. Epigastric pain is attributed to gastritis/ peptic ulcer which is due to increased acid production in stomach. I usually prescribe my patients Pantoprazole 40mg to be taken 30 mins before food & Cyclopam tablets (to be taken after food twice a day) if the pain is spasmodic in nature. Take care
I have severe stomach ache from past 3 days. No medicines or tablets worked out. Please help me.
hello and welcome to HCM,
give us some more information as a stomach ache can be due to many causes:
1. Did you have any food from outside or anything different?
2. Do you have fever/ loose stools/ vomitting?
3. What medications have you started?
please get back to me
meanwhile you may take an anti reflux tablet for immediate pain relief
