My doctor told me I had copd and asthma but my chest xray was normal so do I have Copd & asthma thanks
Yes madam it is possible. in the early stages of the disease the diagnosis depends more on the pulmonary function test and not chest xray alone. Chest xray changes may be evident during a acute episode of breathlessness or when the lungs develops irreversible changes. Please follow treatment as suggested.
hope i have answered your query.
is mild copd fatal
No mild COPD is not fatal, but if you don't take care and keeps on smoking it will lead to some more breathing issues.
Thanks. Hope it helps.
Can A fib be misdiagnosed as COPD?
No,because they are 2 different disease with very distinct symptoms and signs.
Atrial fibrillation causes specific changes in ECG ,and ECG is normal in COPD.
The diagnosis of COPD is established by pulmonary function tests (spirometry).
So there is no way to misdiagnose Afib as COPD.
