Suggest Treatment For Lung Cancer

My 76 year old sister has lung cancer. 2 years ago she had lung surgery and chemotherapy for it and seemed to recover well. But now more spots have been found and she is diagnosed with inoperable slow growing cancer stage 4. At this time she feels good and looks good and is active. She has declined chemo -the oncologist supports her decision. Can you give me an idea of life expectancy. I read that it is considered in the 400--600 day range. ....but she is looking so good!

Since you sister is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer and she has declined chemotherapy u can do EGFR and ALK mutation test on her biopsy sample. If these are positive then oral chemotherapy like erlotinib and crizotinib will work.
The intent of treatment is palliation and improving her quality of life.
Otherwise basic supportive care is an option as she will not tolerate injectable chemotherapy
The average life span is around 8 to 9 months.
