Pain And Burning Sensation In Rectum, Painful After Bowel Movement
I have had pain and burning in my rectum for over 5 weeks. It is usually only painful after a bowl movement but will occasionally burn briefly from time to time. There is no blood but is only bearable if I go all day without having a bowl movement. It does not hurt during a movement but will within the hour and the pain will fluctuate for several hours afterwards.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. I would come up with these possibilities for this type of burning sensation in the rectum ( anus ) after evacuation ( bowel movement), these includes. 1 Hemorrhoids , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a surgeon. The burning sensation is very common after bowel movement in hemorrhoids cases. 2 Fistula in anus , however chance are less , but diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a surgeon. 3 Worm infestation. I have noted in may cases that patient usually complaints of burning sensation in anus after movement. Diagnosis can be confirmed by stool examination. In my opinion consult a surgeon and get his opinion as physical examination is important . Good luck.. Dr. HET
