Blood Present In Vomiting While Pregnant. Should I Be Concerned?

i am 35 weeks pregnant and have been vomiting the past week or so. Nothing i would consider out of the norm - last night there was some blood in it - mostly bright red with some brownish to black at the end. i think i am just being paranoid and it is most likely just irritation but being pregnant it did scare me slightly - any reason for concern?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The possible causes for your blood in vomitings are:
Due to repeated vomitings esophageal mucosal tear can occur which can lead to some amount of blood in the vomitings.
Sometimes liver related problems can lead to these type of symptoms.
So you better once consult gynecologist, get examined and undergo liver function tests which will possibly find out the cause and treatment can be taken accordingly.

Take care.
