Suggest Treatment For Nerve Damage And Bulging Disk

I have some nerve damage and bulging disk in my neck and back. I suffer from back pain daily; for the last ten years. I am a widow and single mother to my seven year old and, I am unable to interact as much as I would like to with her. I have tried acupuncture, chiropractic, physical therapy, daily stretching, muscle relaxers facet and epidural injections nothing seems to give me relief. I have a headache on a daily basis along with hurting from the base of my neck to the top of my butt. I also have dizzy spells, nausea, and have been abnormally cold.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Back pain if persist for so long periods it became part of the mind set. I can assure you that neck pain s best remedy is physiotherapy. As You said it has not worked in your case, I would recommend you to contact a pain specialist, they will take care of chronicity. I would still say that physiotherapy is the best option. If disc protruding is at last stage than you can opt for surgery. There are chances that some time surgery is the best choice.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
The back spasms that you had are related to the degenerative disc disease which is an age related degenerative change in the spine.
Regular physiotherapy and back strengthening exercises are the only way to decrease the progression of these degenerative changes. The occasional muscle spasms can be prevented with these exercises.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
