Why do you want to take the risk, go for surgery before cholecystitis , that is infection and inflamation of the gallbladder or surgical jaundice develop due to impacted stones in the bile ducts. I am saying so as there are no medicines to dissolve the stones.

Gall stone can be dissolved by some medications. I would recommend you to avoid alcohol.
