What Is The Red Patch On The Roof Of My Mouth?

I have a red kind of spotted patch on the roof of my mouth on the right side. It s very itchy up there but it seems to get very very itchy when I m in my boyfriend s house which is full of dogs and pet dander. Could this be the aftermath of an allergy to the dogs??

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain red patch at the roof of the mouth that is itchy and itches more when you are around dogs can be due to allergic reaction caused by Animal Danders that is a common allergen..
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical evaluation and also do allergic testing like RAST test, Patch test etc to rule out the exact cause of allergy and treat you accordingly.
You can be advised to take anti allergics like Benadryl and levocetrizine as well as do warm saline gargles, gargle with 1:1 solution of milk of magnesia and benadryl can also help..
Avoiding exposure to allergen and advising you instillation of Immunotherapy to reduce the severity of allergic symptoms can help..
