what are some of the reasons for inflammation in the legs leading down to the ankles....I went to see my dr. this week, my bloodwork if ok, I have hbp, its controlled with meds, they gave me a new Rx for hydrochlrothyazide 3 days ago, it began 2 months ago. I saw a cardiologist 1 yr. ago, had stress test and other tests and all came out ok. My brother had swelling in his legs similar to me about 5 mos. His dr. ran tests and he had to have surgery to remove a blockage near kidneys. I'm scared this hasn't gone away and my dr. hasn't run any other tests. swelling goes away in the AM but by 4-5pm, my legs and ankles swell up, I am about 80 lbs overweight and the dr. told me to walk and not eat salt. Is that it????
