Wrist Pain, Discomfort After Exercises, Tendon Or Ligament Seems Affected, Sharp Pain, Unable To Apply Pressure. Solution?

Hi, I'm wondering if you can assist me with some wrist pain I'm having. So either Monday/Tuesday evening I was doing a series of workouts that included several pushups & burpees (I haven't worked out bin a LONG while). The days following I noticed a slight discomfort in my wrist. But I really overlooked it. It wasn't until last night, like the 3 am that my wrist was killing me. I tried moving it and rubbing the pain but I guess I made it worst, because stiffness set it and the pain worsened. I tried to pin point the location of the pain. It feels like its along a tendon/ ligament on the left side of my wrist, at the base of my thumb. Sharp pains are delivered anytime pressure is applied, I move it, especially if I tilt my wrist to the left. I can't bend my wrist backwards or forwards now. I ended up popping a pain reliever and icing my wrist just so I could fall back asleep last night. I have not had any prior injuries or diagnoses to this area. Can you help me please?

Hello
Thanks for posting your query.
Your symptoms suggestive of wrist tendonitis. It is inflammation of tendon mostly occurs due to overuse and continous strain. I suggest you to give rest to the wrist. Avoid doing exercises that involves painful muscle and tendon. You can take anti inflammatory drug like ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation.
Hope this will helps you.
