Would Taking Ibuprofen Cause Twitching And Pain In Throat?
I ve had a sore throat for about 7 days now. My doctor told me it was probably a virus on the second day. There is dark purple and red veins. It has gotten more and more painful. I ve been taking 600 mg of ibuprofen every 5 hours to reduce the pain. Yesterday I started twitching. I was wondering if thats from the ibuprofen? And is there anything I can do to reduce my throat pain?
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having twitching and pain in the throat. My response to your question is as follows.
Taking ibuprofen will not lead to the symptoms of twitching and pain in the throat. Ibuporfen is an anti-inflammatory drug and this will prevent these symptoms. The symptoms of twitching and pain in the throat indicate inflammation of the throat in the form of pharyngitis or laryngitis. This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Use of salt water gargling and decongestants will provide symptomatic relief.
