Will The Test Be So Specific As To Heroin?

I am so thankful for this site! I am on suboxone and I used heroin . I am finding it difficult to make the subs last the entire month. I was UA d a day after I used . I had a script for Vicodin and said that was why I was dirty . well,...it was sent out for further testing. What will the test come back as? Will the test be so specific as to Heroin? Or will it simply say opiate? This has me so spun out its all I think about. My freedom is on the line...I know I shouldn t have used ;right? Is it always going to be this difficult? It is being sent out for an opiate panel , what does that mean?

Dear patient,
Opioid screens usually measure opiates and their metabolites, not the type of opiate whether heroin, smack etc. While on suboxone, opiate test will be weakly positive as it is a partial opiate agonist, but as you are on therapy, i think you need a pat on your back for standing up to undergo treatment rather than blame you for taking heroin in first place. Pls let bygones be bygones. Be proud that you are detoxifying.
