Will The Amoxicillin Help Bring Down Cheek Swelling?

I woke up today with my cheek a little swollen I m guessing from a bad tooth i have and was giving amoxicillin 500mg to help bring down the swelling...I m going on a vacation on thursday for a week and my doc cant see me till the day after i get back will the amoxicillin help bring down my swelling?i

Thank you for sharing your concern with HCM.

Yes, amoxicllin 500 mg will definitely help fighting the infection that has caused bad tooth, bring your swelling down.

I'd suggest to take acetaminophen/ibuprofen at least once daily as long as you are on amoxicillin therapy to help reduce swelling too.

Taking good care of your mouth and throat is also highly recommended.
